Mazda

New York (Reuters) - Mazda that they would introduce the concept crossover sports car at motor show latest Minagi Geneva, Switzerland in March.

Curvaceous car is not scheduled to be produced but make Mazda a whiz in the SUV category.

New York Times reported, such as Shinari Mazda sedan concept, which was first exhibited last August, Minagi is an example of the latest design themes Kodo.

Kodo, according to Mazda translated as "soul movement," replaces the theme of Mazda's Nagare design introduced in 2006.

Nagare is translated as "flowing," so at least linguistically, there are remnants of Nagare in Kodo.

Minagi Skyactiv technology showcase of the name of the new engine, new transmission, and Mazda's safety package.

Mazda will show some devices Skyactiv in Geneva, including gasoline-powered engine injection, an environmentally friendly turbocharged diesel engines and two transmissions.

Mazda released some details of the components Skyactiv in October. Gasoline-powered engine has a direct injection 14:1 compression ratio, larger than the current gasoline-powered engine.

According to Mazda, the compression ratio to increase fuel efficiency and torque by 15 percent compared to conventional designs.

There's more than one way to increase efficiency, and Mazda seems intent on proving that it can compete in the ever-rising stakes of fuel mileage without actually going to the trouble of investing heavily in hybrid technology.

Instead, Mazda is taking a multi-pronged approach that includes new gasoline and diesel engines, efficient automatic and manual transmissions and lightweight structures that incorporate both the body shell and supporting chassis architecture. That whole philosophy is bundled up nicely in a package Mazda is calling SkyActiv.

In addition to SkyActiv, Mazda is also using the 2011 Geneva Motor Show to introduce the world to the second showcar (the first being the Shinari) styled using its Kodo design language: the Minagi Concept. A production version of the Minagi is slated for a debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show later this year.

We wouldn't expect many wholesale changes to the exterior design of the Minagi, as it looks pretty production-ready in its current state... minus a few of the extra-concepty bits like the minimilist exterior mirrors and giant rolling stock. Naturally, the marque's SkyActiv technology will be in full effect in the production Minagi.

We suggest you check out the live photos in our high-res image gallery below, but you can also read a whole bunch of information from Mazda on Kodo design language and how it's featured in the Minagi concept after the break.

"We chose the Jember district because many cultural experts with a number of universities and citizens of Jember has a decent culture to tourists," said Tjejep.

Traditional Children Games Festival Nusantara, he said, is a series of National Child Day and the series of activities held in the Week of Culture, Arts and Film (PBSF) in 2010.

"Traditional Games of children who are the cultural heritage contains the values reflected nobleness of spirit and philosophy of the game must continue to be developed," he explained.

For that, he said, Kemenbudpar trying to develop the values reflected nobleness of spirit and philosophy of traditional children's game itself, so that traditional games children do not become extinct.

Meanwhile, cultural experts, Prof. Ayu Sutarto, acknowledged that traditional games children currently threatened with extinction because so many kids who already do not know about the traditional game.

"A lot of kids who would rather play 'play station' and 'games' on the internet than traditional games that made old child," he said.

According to Ayu, traditional games children have cultural value of mutual cooperation, so that the spirit of cooperation and mutual assistance can be inculcated from an early age to the children.

A number of traditional permaian kids like Ganding, gobak sodor, hide and seek, bekelan, dakon ankle, and stilts reflecting the spirit of honesty, sportsmanship, persistence, competitiveness, cooperation, mutual assistance, and recognition of a sense of victory to his opponent.

"I hope this festival can inspire the spirit of children to maintain and develop the traditional game, so do not fade," he said.

He explains, traditional games that children can develop and strengthen national identity because of noble values embedded in the game.

Head Office of Tourism and Culture Jember, Arif Tjahyono, said they were proud of the confidence the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, which organizes the event "Festival of Traditional Games Kids Nusantara" in Jember.

Stilts is a traditional Indonesian game is not yet known exactly where it came from, but can be found in various regions with different names such as: certain areas of West Sumatra by the name of the word Tengkak-tengkak Tengkak (lame), which in the language Bengkulu Ingkau means shoes bamboo and in Central Java with stilt name derived from the name of long-legged bird. Stilts itself comes from Lampung language which means sandals made of bamboo beheaded a long round. In the language of Banjar in South Kalimantan is called batungkau.
Stilts made of bamboo stems with a length of approximately 2.5 meters. Approximately 50cm from the bottom, made of a flat foot beachhead approximately 20cm wide. How to play it is to compete to use stilts to walk from one side of the field to the other. People of the fastest and he was the winner did not fall.

Traditional Games stilts able to provide creative stimulation for the wearer and also train the balance right and left brain. In fact, toys are made of bamboo is now a toy mandatory for State Government Elementary School students lined, Wonokromo, Pleret, Bantul, Yogyakarta.

Various types of traditional games that many children scattered in several areas of North Sumatra and other areas in Indonesia are threatened with extinction because there is no longer a player.

Anthropologists State University of Medan (Unimed), Dr. Phil Icwan Azhari, in Medan, on Monday, said today's traditional kids games such as peg catfish, arrogant, galasing, engklek, sambar and enggrang eagle, has been replaced by more modern games such as video games and bombom car.

In fact, he said, various traditional games have quite a lot of advantages that can not be obtained on modren game, like the growing sense of solidarity or camaraderie, a sense of empathy for others, intimacy with nature and always uphold the values of sportsmanship.

In addition, other positive side which can be obtained from a variety of traditional games are enabling the emergence of the initiative, creativity of children to create and innovate to produce their own.

"With the emergence of creativity that, sianak then will try to find a new design and adapt the game that they need," said Ichwan who is also Chairman of the Study of Social Anthropology Graduate Program Unimed.

According to him, a variety of traditional children's games also will keep them away from the consumerist attitude, show excitement, ekspressif gestures, as well as train the level of intelligence and logic.

"For example, on Galasing game to be played by at least four people to one group. The four men will work together to defeat his opponents not to get past the area dijaganya, "he said.

Unlike the case with all kids games modren be mass produced by the factory, so the creativity of children to create their own game to be lost and the average of the traditional game is played by one oranag only.

As a result sianak be preoccupied with themselves alone without the care with peers and their environment.

According to the Chairman of the Center for Historical Studies and Social Sciences (Pussis) Unimed, the game will tend to make children modren individualistic and based on the material.

Children at any time ask for money to buy the game equipment. Because of the potential modren games make children as a generation that just demanding, demanding, less effort, not innovative and creative, to produce and reproduce what they need.
