Merkel pioneering motorcycle
Merkel pioneering motorcycle design since the 1900's. In the early days of fever motorcycle, Merkel released a hero who carries a single-cylinder small engines in 1902, and then growing up to adopt the V-twin engine in 1910 and cemented his position in the motorcycle industry competition.
Even though the overall shape is similar to a bicycle motot time, Merkel has given a touch more on the front fork at the same time as the front suspension. At first glance looks similar to the RIDGID bicycle forks, but it is actually a hidden spring in it, which was then in contek by other motorcycle manufacturers. No lag, the rear wheel fork is also getting attention by combining swing and slider arm.
Edition 1915, Merkel offers superior model: front and rear suspension, Kickstarter, suspension on the saddle (spring), with two-speed transmission and the engine is powerful V-twin with a capacity of 1,000 cc.
But unfortunately the innovators and pioneers can not survive against stiff competition and had to leave the motorcycle industry in 1916.
